Pawan's political entry sends Chiru to Karnataka

In a latest rumour doing the rounds in AP and Karnataka political circles, the Congress has decided to field Union minister Chiranjeevi from Chikkaballapur in Karnataka. Interestingly, Veerappa Moily is the sitting MP there.

A reason for this could be that Chikkaballapur has a majority of Balajiga community and Chiru too belongs to the same community.

Besides, the region has several Telugu speaking people which could help if Congress fields Chiru, who's a popular Telugu actor.

However, political observers are of the view that Pawan Kalyan's entry into politics is the real reason behind Chiru running away to Karnataka.

Being a popular cine figure and also holding a plum post, Chiru can't afford to lose face in Andhra Pradesh. This is why the union minister has decided to choose Karnataka as the battleground, it is learnt.
