3-Hours Power Cut In Hyderabad City and its Surrounding Areas. Hyderabad city and its surrounding areas are set to face up to three hours of power cuts with the mercury rising.
Hyderabad city and its surrounding areas are set to face up to three hours of power cuts with the mercury rising. The Central discom had earlier announced the load respite of three hours from beginning of this month, but, it was not put into practice owing to a fall in power burning up due to the stormy weather.
As there is a change in the climate, for last couple of days, there has been a power cut for 1 to 1.5hr in many areas in Hyderabad. The total power demand in the state was around 255 million units per day in the first two weeks of the month. It has risen to 295-300 million units per day in last two days due to the heated up climate.
Officials say that the power demand will cross 320 MU by this month-end. Hence, the increased hours of power shut-down will be implemented from now. As per the revised schedules, the load relief will be of three hours daily, in two spells of one-and-a-half hours each.
