Hyderabad: The Congress has not committed hara-kiri by bifurcating Andhra Pradesh. In fact, it was brutalised by certain people who wanted to remain in power till the end and never wanted to give up hegemony, feels APCC campaign committee chief K Chiranjeevi.
In a freewheeling chat with The Hans India on Thursday on the eve of his bus yatra, Chiranjeevi said: “He (Kiran) knew of the division move way back at Jaipur Shivir in January 2013. But, he thwarted any united action to prevent the division,” he said. Congress cannot claim it will come to power in Seemandhra, but it will be a force to be reckoned with, and there is every possibility of a hung Assembly. He thinks that if the TDP-BJP combine succeeds in roping in Pawan Kalyan, the youth and Kapus may move towards them.
