Hyderabad: On Wednesday, the Andhra Pradesh state High Court in its verdict made it bring up that extension of Mohanty’s tenure was not illegal. The petition filed challenging the extension of the tenure of Mohanty, the Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh, was taken up by the state High Court on Wednesday. The honourbale judge in his verdict held that extension of Mohanty’s tenure by the governor of the state was not unconstitutional.
It is evident that Mohanty’s tenure was early extended by the state governor in view of the on going state bifurcation.
