Car hits tree; 2 killed

Khammam: Early on Saturday, a car thumped a huge tree near Edulapuram in Khammam district. In this fatal accident, two persons present in the car died on the spot. The onlookers informed the police. The police rushed the spot immediately and have taken over the dead bodies. The dead bodies have been sent for the autopsy to the government hospital of Khammam. A case has been booked and the police have been investigating the case.

In a similar incident, at Sarapaka of Burgampadu mandal in Khammam district, early on Saturday, an auto rickshaw smacked a bike. In this accident, a person was killed on the spot, while another person got injured. The passersby have informed the police who rushed the spot and rushed the victim to the hospital. The dead body of the deceased has been sent for post mortem to the nearby government hospital. A case has been booked by the police and the investigations are on. More details are awaited.
