Hyderabad: Early on Wednesday, as many as three people were killed and four sustained stern injuries at Kishanbagh in Hyderabad's Old City when BSF (Border Security Force) officers opened fire on conflicting groups. According to sources, the firing took place in Cyberabad police commissionarate limits on Wednesday morning. The entire action was intended to control rabbles that turned on each other after a holy flag was burnt late last night pertaining to one particular religion. The situation was normalised by afternoon, added sources.

It is learnt that C V Anand, the Cyberabad commissioner of Police, imposed curfew in Rajendranagar, which turns to be the main junction of the conflicts. In the revelation, two motor cycles were torched; a car smashed up and two houses were also put on blaze. According to sources, at least 10 policemen upholded head and arm injuries in the stone pelting that took place during the cores.

Y Gangadhar, the Cyberabad Joint Commissioner of Police said that few mysterious reprobates burnt the flag post of a community at Kishanbagh on Tuesday night, near Sikhchawani. He also said that around 6.30 am on Wednesday, a group of people assembled and assualted people. As both groups, armed with rapiers and stones clashed, The BSF was instructed to fire in the air. Those who were at some height from the ground level were slapped back with the pellets during this time. Three people have died in the rounds firing. Nevertheless, added Gangadhar that those who sustained injuries were steady. The police said firing in the air was indispensable at that time to normalise the situation.

From the other end, tThe flag post was straight away put back and both communities were asked to maintain serene. Meanwhile, the Hyderabad police have taken defensive measures to avert any spill over action. It is worth mentioning here that the Rajendranagar police station is adjoining most susceptible spots of Hyderabad's heart.

The police urged the people to not believe in rumours and maintain clam. From the other end MIM leaders including Asaduddin Owaisi demanded for the arrest of the BSF Jawans involved in the firing.
