Sonia Gandhi temple in Karimnagar

Remember we had told you that Secunderabad MLA P Shankar Rao was building a temple for the AICC chief Sonia Gandhi?

The statue of Sonia was made in bronze and modelled after the Telangana deity Telangana Talli. Now, a group of Congress leaders have gone one step further and constructed a temple for Sonia in Mallial town of Karimnagar district.

This move comes as a token of gratitude towards Sonia for making Telangana state a reality. The statue inside the temple if made of Marble brought from Rajasthan.

The temple was formally thrown open for public on Monday. Ponnam Prabhakar and Suddala Devaiah were present during the inauguration function.
