Soon after taking charge, Naidu signed some files relating to the decisions taken at the first Cabinet meeting held in Visakhapatnam last week. Chief Secretary I Y R Krishna Rao, Ministers Y Ramakrishnudu, P Narayana, G Srinivasa Rao and others greeted Naidu.

Later, the Chief Minister, who had taken oath along with 19 Ministers at a massive public meeting near Guntur on June 8, later visited the State Secretariat, where employees accorded him a warm welcome.

Speaking on the occasion, Naidu sought the cooperation of the employees for his vision to develop Andhra Pradesh on a par with Singapore. He alleged that injustice was done to Andhra Pradesh as the previous UPA government did not follow the proper procedure in the State bifurcation. He hoped that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government would provide level-playing field.

Chandrababu Naidu said it was during his rule that Hyderabad had got global recognition and because of the efforts made by him Telangana now has a surplus budget.
The Chief Minister assured the employees that the government would do justice to them. The secretariat employees announced their two days wages as contribution for building the new capital. A woman employee donated her four gold bangles for the purpose.

Meanwhile, Chandrababu Naidu paid tributes to TDP founder and his father-in-law N T Rama Rao at NTR Ghat. He also attended the first session of the Andhra Pradesh State Assembly and took oath as its member.
