Anantapur: Chennamma temple robbed

Hyderabad: The robbers, on Friday night, have stolen the ornaments of the deity from Chennamma temple at Ravulodiki of Vadaguru mandal in Anantapur district. Including the sacred conjugal choker and silver umbrella, the thieves have also stolen cash from the offerings box (Hundi). The estimated value assets theft in this case is around Rs80L. The police reached the spot as soon as they were informed. A case has been booked and they have been probing the matter. More details are awaited.

After repeated heists in the trains, now, the thieves started targeting the temples. Getting money easily has been the intended motto of many of the thieves behind such robberies. They need to be curbed up by taking adequate preventive measures. Clear analysis of the recent incidents of thefts shows that the thieves have been targeting the common man and simple but resourceful areas like temples, wherein the security is very light for obvious reasons. So, there is an immediate need to keep vigilant to safeguard even such areas.
