Guntur: Tobacco worth Rs 10cr gutted in fire

Hyderabad: Early on Tuesday at Boppudi village of Chilukaluripet mandal in Guntur district, there was a blaze. In this incident, the tobacco stored in a godown got completely gutted in the fire and turned into ash. A loss amounting Rs 10cr has been registered in this case. The fire rescue team reached the spot and have been trying to cease fire. The details like reason for the fire accident and many other issues are awaited.

It is evident that early on Saturday, there was a fire accident at Alluri Sita Rama Raju colony at Lingapayapalem village in the outskirts of Guntur. In this fire accident, as many as 200 huts were gutted in fire within no time. Initially the fire broke out inside a hut owned by Guruvamma which has speeded to neighbouring huts within a very short notice. As many as 10 gas cylinders burst out in this incident. As there were no people available in their home, there was no loss of life recorded in this incident. The fire rescue team and the police have reached as soon as they were informed and put out the fire. More details such as the property loss et al are awaited.
