The incident drastically hit supply of CNG fuel in the State capital. As a result, several CNG bunks in Hyderabad and parts of Ranga Reddy displayed no stock boards for over 48 hours.

At a review meeting chaired by civil supplies minister Etela Rajender, department officials informed that they were hard pressed to supply fuel to 18 CNG gas stations in Hyderabad alone. Over 25,000 autos and a large number of buses were hit due to this shortage, officials informed.

Meanwhile, the Minister asked the authorities to make alternative arrangements like seeking supply from Bhagyanagar Gas Limited or Reliance, if needed, to address the issue.
