Godavari River Board meeting today, The board meeting of Godavari River Water will be held on Wednesday at Red Hills Central Water Commission Office in Hyderabad at 11 a.m. The meeting will be chaired by Mahadevan, the board chairman.
Hyderabad: The board meeting of Godavari River Water will be held on Wednesday at Red Hills Central Water Commission Office in Hyderabad at 11 a.m. The meeting will be chaired by Mahadevan, the board chairman. This meeting will be attended by the state chief secretaries of both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, apart from the Engineers-in-Chief and important officials of either state. It is most likely that matters concerning the establishment of office of Board Office, appointment of employees, division of work, security et al will be discussed.
It is worth mentioning here that this is the first ever meeting of the board after Telangana emerged as a separate state. The meeting attains prominence in view of the on going meteorological drought in the Telugu states. Of course, there is an inflow of water from Maharashtra and Karnataka as of now. Nevertheless, the situation and discussions might not have the current day situation as its basis.
