Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, was called on by the ADB representatives. He reportedly urged the support from ADB to establish Visakhapatnam-Chennai industrial corridor. He also urged cooperation for the development of Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, Machilipatnam and Srikalahasthi. It is learnt that ADB has accepted to invest 2.5 billion dollars for the development of Visakha-Chennai industrial corridor.

From the other end, Chandrababu Naidu has also held a review meeting with the farmers to discuss their problems on groundnut crops. A decision has been taken to write to the centre concerning the problems being faced by the farmers who are in groundnut cultivation.
