Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh said that he is not selfish in the capital selection by reasoning that he would have made his home town the capital if he was selfish. “No one can stop one I decide. I’m not worried about it. Congress party never spoke with anyone while the state bifurcation. They didn’t even contact me even though I was the leading opposition leader at the time,” said the Chief Minister.

He said that he fought in New Delhi for the equality in the bifurcation. He added that the development is not possible without the capital. He said that the capital should have the necessary social life, and that it should be geographically located at the center of the State.
