Hyderabad: State government on Tuesday issued notification on land pooling for capital city. Governor E S L Narasimhan cleared the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) Act. The government already framed the rules under the Act for land pooling and the compensation to be paid to the farmers in return of land.

The government issued six GO 252 to 257 giving effect to all the provisions for the administrative functioning voluntary land pooling scheme and notified the Capital Region Development Authority Area as well as the Capital City Area. The GOs, notifying that an area of about 7,068 square kilometers spread in 58 mandals in Krishna and Guntur districts, would be part of Andhra Pradesh Capital Region was also issued.

The other GOs include notifying an area covering broadly about 122 sq.kms consisting 29 villages, of three mandals of Managalagiri, Thulluru and Tadepalli, as the State Capital City area, constitution of the governing body of the CRDA, consisting: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu as its chairman and Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister P Narayana as vice-chairman.

Minister for finance, State Chief Secretary, Principal Secretaries of MA&UD, Finance, Transport, Roads and Buildings, Energy, Infrastructure and Investment, Environment Forest, Science& Technology, Panchayat Raj as members was also issued. After giving effect to the provisions of the geographical area and administration of the CRDA, the State government had also issued another order directing the CRDA, under sub section 5 of section 43 of the Act, to undertake development scheme under chapter 9 of the Act though Voluntary Land Pooling Scheme in the Capital City Area.

The government also appointed N Srikanth as CRDA special commissioner. The jurisdiction of the new capital region would consist of Thulluru Mandal: Lingayapalem including Hamlet Villages of Modugulanka palem, Uddandarayunipalem, Velagapudi, Nelapadu,Sakamuru, Ainavolu,Malkapuram,including Hamlet Villages of Tallayapalem, Venkatapalem, Ananthavaram, Nekkallu,Thulluru,Dondapadu,Abbarajupalem,Rayapudi,Borupalem,Kondaraju Palem (De-Populated), Pichukala Palem. Tadepalli Mandal: Undavalli, Penumaka,Part of Tadepalli Municipality (Nulakapet, Dolas Nagar.) Mangalagiri Mandal: Krishnayapalem,Nidamarru,Kuragallu including Hamlet Villages of Nerukonda,Nowluru including Hamlet Villages of Yerrabalem & Bethapudi.
