Hyderabad: YSR Congress party on Sunday demanded that AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu break his silence and speak out on the special status to the State. The Chief Minister should also mount pressure on the Centre for more funds.
Talking to reporters here, party senior leader Ambati Rambabu said the silence maintained by Naidu on the special status and central funds to AP showed that he was either scared of the Centre or he had mortgaged the self pride of Telugu people to the BJP government at the Centre.
Many aspects which are included in the State Reorganisation Act have not been honoured, including the special status, setting up of steel plant, petrochemicals factory, industrial corridors and the like,’ he added.
