AP to choose consultant for Signature IT tower at Visakhapatnam The Andhra Pradesh State government that has decided Visakhapatnam to be the IT Capital of the state has sought proposals for appointing Signature Tower at Rushikonda IT SEZ as the consultant of global repute for designing and evolving funding pattern.

An iconic super-structure, the tower, conceived on the lines of Cyber Towers of Hyderabad, is to be built with one million square ft. built-up area on Rushikonda, Hill No. 3 with sea view in an area of 21.16 acres.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was keen on the work on Signature Tower to be on a fast-track mode and once the design was finalized, on a time-bound manner, the construction on the tower would be launched said IT Secretary B. Sreedhar.
He that during his trips to Japan, Singapore and Switzerland, Mr. Naidu showcased the investment potential of Visakhapatnam in the field of IT and said the city had the best infrastructure for development as one of the leading IT hubs in the country. Also, an exercise was launched to woo big ticket projects that was lacking in the city. A proposal to develop a cluster of IT units is also in progress by wooing NRIs hailing from A.P.
The government as part of efforts to make Digital Andhra Pradesh after signing MoU with Google, would provide 10 Mbps connection to each household on payment of Rs.150 per month said Mr. Sreedhar.
