Rajahmundry: The Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE) is conducting orientation programmes on management education in engineering colleges and management institutions in East Godavari district. IPE senior faculty member Anand Akundy, along with assistant professor Pavan Kumar, told the media here on Tuesday that IPE, Hyderabad, established in 1964 as an autonomous institution, was among the top academic institutions offering management education in the country.

Anand claimed that IPE was ranked number one in the State as per B-School. PGDM (MBA equivalent as per the Association of Indian Universities) courses in different streams like General Management, Banking, Insurance and Finance, Marketing, HRM and International Business were taught through contemporary pedagogical methods.

He said IPE’s new campus was established at a cost of Rs 150 crore with 55 faculty members and state-of-the-art infrastructure spread over 22 acres at Shamirpet in Hyderabad. IPE’s placement record was 100 per cent and companies like TCS, CSC, Oracle, Deloitte, Capital First, Karur Vysya Bank and Federal Bank recruited IPE students in campus placements with a salary package between Rs 5 lakh and Rs 8 lakh per annum.

Anand said visiting professors from reputed international universities were taking classes at IPE and sessions on employability skills for students of IPE draw special attention. For admissions, candidates were required to clear CAT, MAT, ATMA, XAT, DMAT or CMAT with 50 per cent in any graduation stream. Scholarships and bank loan facilities were offered at IPE, he said.
