police on Friday arrested two thieves who targeted a housewife while she was alone in her house at Revenue Colony in the town and recovered from their possession 11 tolas of gold jewellery and a cell phone. Deputy Superintendent of Police Mallikarjuna told the media that the thieves, G Bhaskar Reddy (31) and Chandra (28), had attacked Bandi Sarada, wife of advocate Satyanarayana and escaped with jewellery and a cell phone. The DSP said Reddy was an accused in a murder case registered in Dhone of Kurnool district. Chandra was involved in the murder of his father. CI G Madhav, SIs Viswanath Choudary and Ramprasad were present at the press meet.
