Power star Pawan Kalyan who played a crucial role in the defeat of Jagan's YSRC in Andhra Pradesh and Congress in Telangana is once again keen to roll out his political action plan. But every one is keen to know whether Pawan has the stamina and mass base to take on the challenges posed by Chandrababu Naidu and Jagan or succumb to political chicanery like his brother Chiranjeevi did.
The film celebrity who had earned a reputation for a campaign against corruption is now the apple of political debators and opinion makers. Whether he will become Arvind kejriwal or another Chiranjeei is the moot point.
The 43-year-old chocolate boy of Telugu cinema is all set to make a fiery entry in politics and gearing up to play the mighty role in Andhra Pradesh and Telengana political theatre. He is ready to become the missing link in the popular vote bank of Andhra Pradesh and fill the gap.
His tour of CRDA villages of Undavalli, Errabalem which brought the focus back on farmers issues and culminated as a farmers' Summit at Bethapudi village has sent shock waves to the ruling TDP. Following Pawan missiles, Chandrababu Naidu personally had to intervene to respond to the bitter truths exposed by Pawan about the land pooling and farmers woes.
Ironically, Pawan has succeeded in shaking up the TDP and the AP administration where Jagan failed to touch the nerve of the farmers and also create a flutter. His comments have hit Chandrababu Naidu's game plan to lease out the lands to builders from Japan, Europe, Singapore and Malaysia. Many of them could even be benami investments coming back to AP in one form or the other, say business bodies.
It appears Pawan has put his movie plans on the back burner and keen to take advantage of the opportunities available in political arena. His political clout in BJP and Delhi circles could become a great boon for him. One has to wait and see if his party will set a new benchmark for other new political parties or go the Prajarajyam way.
