Srisailam gears up for ugadi celebrations

Telugu New Year Sri Manmadha Nama Samvatsara Ugadi celebrations will be held in the famous Sri Bhramarambha Mallikharjuna Swamy temple in Srisailam from March 18 to 22. According to temple executive officer Sagar Babu, special pujas will be performed to the main deity Mallikharjuna Swamy and His consort Sri Bhramarambha Devi.

The Goddess will be decorated in special attire on all the days during the celebrations. The festival will begin on March 18 with Sri Vigneswara puja, Siva Sankalpam, Chandishwara puja and so on. From March 19 to 22, Chandiswara puja, Rudra homam, Chandi homam, kumkumarchana and Kalyanam will be held. The celebrations will conclude on March 22.
