In the meantime, the lone survivor of the encounter claimed that Andhra Pradesh Police killed seven men who were pulled out of a moving bus his testimony before the Human Rights Commission would be crucial to prove whether the encounter was staged.


Stating that the alleged red sanders smugglers were killed in cold blood, the families are refusing to cremate the bodies.


The encounter was condemned by even Tamil political parties while Congress demanding a probe into the case, stated that AP police was irresponsible to shoot on sight. DMK Chief Karunanidhi backing the Congress stated that steps were not taken to control the incidents taking place over the past few months and the result has cost 20 lives. He also asked both the states to ensure such incidents are not repeated again.
