Rajahmundry: Mala Mahanadu national president Karem Sivaji here on Saturday demanded that YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leadership expel MLA Roja from the party for making derogatory comments against SCs and STs. He lodged a complaint against Roja at the III Town police station after staging a dharna in front of the Ambedkar statue.

On this occasion, Sivaji said that the comments made by Roja, an elected member of the Legislative Assembly, hurt the sentiments of SCs and STs. He said he would urge Speaker Kodela Siva Prasad Rao to dismiss Roja from the Legislature. Condemning the comments made by Roja in Puttur in Chittoor district that she was not an ‘untouchable’ like SCs and STs, he alleged that she was continuously insulting these communities.
