Don\'t sell or give tenancy, court tells CRDA farmers AP minister in charge of land pooling P Narayana has appealed once again to the farmers of CRDA villagers to reconsider their stand to take back their lands from land pooling.

AP minister in charge of land pooling P Narayana has appealed once again to the farmers of CRDA villagers to reconsider their stand to take back their lands from land pooling.

Minister Narayana said that if the farmers fail to give lands under the land pooling, the government has to resort to land acquisition which will be a losing venture for them. 'It is good for the farmers of CRDA to utilize the last chance available for them as the government will not go back on its decision to build the capital -Amaravati- in the chosen location.

Meanwhile the AP high court has in an interim verdict said that the farmers who had refused to give lands to the capital could undertake agricultural operations in their own lands. “But they should not give it for tenancy or sell their lands to others,” court said.

Posting the case to July first week for further arguments in the case the court also rejected the involvement of National Peoples Alliance (NAP) in the land deal.
