The officials of the Yokohama City Council of Japan called on Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday at Secretariat and informed them that they could replicate the City Centre Enhancement Project, Kanazawa Reclamation Project, Konoku New Town, Subway Lines and transportation and Underground Expressway Projects in Kakinada.


In November last year, AP delegation visited Japan and Yokohama’s Port. Yokohama port president Masayuki Takashima and other delegates on Wednesday gave a presentation on the “Yokohama City”, Japan’s second largest city.

The Chief Minister explained to the Japanese delegates that the city is a picturesque one with abundant water and energy availability. He also told them about the 4-lane road between Visakhapatnam and Kakinada and a beach road that will cover three states and one Union Territory besides two ports.


The Chief Minister sought their expertise in city revamping, waste management, tourism, enhancing infrastructure, civic amenities and reducing pollution. He also wanted the YCC to lend your expertise and support in help us with Electronics and Hardware Park in Kakinada.
