The Left and activists of ABVP, the student wing of BJP hit the streets against the botched promise of Modi government on special status to AP after bifurcation of the state.
ABVP activists joined the left parties at Tiruapti by burning effigies of Centre and raised slogans against Modi. CPI activists burnt effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Alamkhanpalle on Saturday, deploring the Centre’s ‘inept attitude’.
Union Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu were hoodwinking people on special status issue, left leaders said.
At Tirupati, the CPI (M) activists flayed the statements of Union Minister Rao Indrajit Singh, who said that 'special status' could not be given to AP.
