Hyderabad: A day after Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao claimed that even Lord Brahma cannot save AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, the TRS government seems to have pushed the issue of the cash-for-vote scam into fast-forward mode. KCR held detailed discussion with ACB D-G A K Khan and Intelligence Chief B Shivadhar Reddy at his camp office on Tuesday evening on the possibility of ACB issuing notices to the AP Chief Minister.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu arrives at Taj Mahal hotel in New Delhi on Tuesday. He is likely to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday to discuss about the recent developments in Hyderabad

KCR has been discussing this issue with legal experts since Monday and wanted that there should be no legal problems. It is learnt that he was told that the ACB could issue notices but will have to seek Governor’s permission if it wants to question Naidu. After a thorough review, KCR late on Tuesday evening gave his nod and asked the ACB to go ahead and serve notices on Naidu. Notices are likely to be served on Wednesday.

On the other hand, the AP government had also made some quick moves and has replaced the Telangana police with Octopus at Naidu’s residence. After the Cabinet meeting, Naidu held meeting with the top police brass and decided to do away with the police personnel on security duties at his residence.

Andhra Pradesh Intelligence officials have reportedly told Naidu that the Telangana police deployed there was resorting to leakage of information. Strict instructions have been issued to the security personnel that no lower-rung security staff should use mobile phones when on duty and even all officials who go to the Chief Minister’s house except IAS and IPS should deposit their mobile phones at the security.

It has also been decided that neither any police officer or top bureaucrat should be allowed inside unless they have an appointment or Naidu summons them for a meeting. Meanwhile, it is learnt that Naidu is likely to take up this issue with Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and is also likely to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and see that the issue was resolved.
