The cop, Rajahmundry Superintendent of police G Vijay Kumar who was posted at Pushkar ghat in Rajahmundry when the stampede took place revealed that the Chief Minister asked him to confirm the number of dead persons.
Directing the officials to take necessary action, Chandrababu left the spot hurriedly, said the Superintendent of police. Mr Kumar also added that the death toll was at 11 when the Chief Minister left the place.
