Thundershowers likely in TS

Hyderabad: The Met office on Tuesday issued a heavy rainfall warning, forecasting isolated heavy rainfall in north coastal Andhra Pradesh on August 26 and 27 and in Telangana during the subsequent two days. The Met report said the trough from Odisha to south Tamil Nadu along and off coastal Andhra Pradesh is persisting.

The cyclonic circulation over the west-central Bay and adjoining north-west Bay now lies over west-central Bay and adjoining north coastal Andhra Pradesh and south Odisha. Under its influence, a low pressure area is likely to develop during the next one to two days and yield light to moderate rain or thundershowers at a few places in the coastal districts. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers will occur at isolated places in Rayalaseema.

The forecast said rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in coastal Andhra Pradesh and at a few places in Rayalaseema and Telangana on August 26. There will be rain or thundershowers at many places in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and at a few places in Rayalaseema on August 27.

During the subsequent two days, rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Telangana and at a few places in coastal Andhra Pradesh. Isolated rain or thundershowers may occur in Rayalaseema. During the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Tuesday, isolated rainfall occurred in Andhra Pradesh, while dry weather prevailed in Telangana.
