Vijayawada: The Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday asked the officials to ensure that the plan for the new capital, Amaravati, will have more concept cities within. Addressing a review meeting of the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) here, the Chief Minister said that the High Court and the law university and other law services bodies would come in one place for better coordination.


This place would be called ‘Justice City’, like ‘science city’. He wanted more such concept based cities in the capital as that would be helpful for the people to get the required services at one place.The Chief Minister also asked the officials to prepare a list of the unemployed youth from the capital villages and provide skill training for them.

He said that the government would pay Rs 1000 stipend, training equipment and food to each of the trainees during the training period. He took strong exception to the Opposition parties creating problems in land acquisition for the capital. Stating that he was touring the world to attract global investment in the capital, Chandrababu Naidu regretted that the Opposition parties were creating disturbance. He feared that the activities of the Opposition parties in the capital were causing hurdles for global investment.

“How can we expect global investment when there is unrest in the area,” he asked.The Chief Minister said that the new capital would be built on Swiss Challenge system making it more transparent and answerable. He further said that the government would also take consultants and architects in the Swiss Challenge to avoid controversies.

When the issue of village contours came up for discussion, the Chief Minister advised the CRDA officials to discuss with the people and resolve the dispute. He also advised the officials to restrain from land acquisition and hold consultations with the farmers on land pooling.

While promising to take up the Central government clearance for forest lands, the Chief Minister asked the officials here to prepare a proposal within a month. Referring to Vijayawada development, the Chief Minister said that the canal banks in the city would be developed with special attention. The canal banks will be taken up for beautification, he added.The Minister for Municipal Administration P Narayana, CRDA Commissioner N Srikanth, Guntur district Collector Kantilal Dande and other officials were present.
