Guntur district YSRCP observer B Satyanarayana, official spokesperson A Rambabu and party leader Marri Rajashekar addressing the media in Guntur on SundayGuntur: YSRCP leader and former minister Botcha Satyanarayana demanded the dismissal of TDP Minister in the Union Cabinet Sujana Chowdary for his unsavoury comments on women's reservation and sought to know whether the opinions expressed were his own or of his party.

Botcha said that the Minister's comments that women need no reservation and that they were sitting as figure heads when their husbands were exercising authority, was a deplorable remark against women. The women who constituted half of the total population should be given their due honor. He demanded that the TDP should give clarity on his statement.

Addressing a press conference at the party office here on Sunday, Botcha stated that the Bihar people too demanded special status for the development of their State and Prime Minister Modi's announcement of a package was totally rejected by the electorate in that State. The results were a reiteration of the demand of the people of Bihar for special status.

He said that the TDP can learn a lesson from the Bihar results. If the Chief Minister did not change his stance favoring special package and sail with the people who were demanding nothing short of special status, he would meet the same fate as that of the BJP in Bihar elections.
