Tirumala: Kolkata-based donor Prakash Chowdary has donated two ambulances worth Rs 30 lakh to TTD and handed over them to Tirumala JEO KS Sreenivasa Raju in Tirumala on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, the JEO said that the donor has come out with this largesse in memory of the late Ramesh (Potu Ramesh), who rendered impeccable service in the last two-and-a-half decades in Tirumala, and passed away recently due to heart attack.
"These vehicles will be utilised to serve the pilgrims during emergencies. The cost of each vehicle is about Rs15 lakh", he added.
