Sensing the general mood, the district administration has also made elaborate arrangements for making the garden parties more interesting this time. The non-teaching staff union of SRKR Engineering College, Bhimavaram organised Vanamahotsavam on the occasion of Karthika Masam on the college premises. Speaking on the occasion, they said that celebration of ‘Karthika Vana Samaradhana’ will lead to creating a lot of awareness among the young minds regarding the importance of forests and its inseparable relationship with mankind.
Union president Bhupathiraju Ramaraju along with his wife performed pooja to the Tulsi and Amla trees. Later, the non-teaching staff offered prayers to cows. College principal G Pardhasaradhi Varma, Union secretary P V Narasimha Raju, Ch Bangarao and others participated in the event.
In Eluru, well-groomed and lush green Sanivarapupeta orchard made this `Karthika Vana Samaradhana' (garden partying) a more exhilarating experience for merrymakers. It is where the Brahmins Association Joint Action Committee organised Vana Samaradhana. The gathering celebrated the joys of the season's fine weather and cool outings.
