The 25th annual award of Dr Pinnamaneni and Seethadevi Foundation was presented to eminent Indian flutist Pandit Hariprasad Chourasia and author of many books Hindol Sengupta in Vijayawada on Wednesday. The foundation’s Graama Pragathi Puraskaram was presented to integrated pomegranate farmer M Narasimhappa of Anantapur district.

The 25th annual award of Dr Pinnamaneni and Seethadevi Foundation was presented to eminent Indian flutist Pandit Hariprasad Chourasia and author of many books Hindol Sengupta in Vijayawada on Wednesday. The foundation’s Graama Pragathi Puraskaram was presented to integrated pomegranate farmer M Narasimhappa of Anantapur district.

Later, speaking on ‘The Great Indian dream’, Hindol Sengupta said the country was changing and the youth were dare to dream about their future unlike the old generations who lived in constant fear of social security. He said people should rise in love for ‘fearless India’ and everyone should help others for the progress of the country. Narrating his experience since childhood, he said the country was changing and giving scope for young Indian to dream for future.

Earlier, receiving the Grama Pragathi Puraskaram M Narasimhappa dedicated the award to farmers who are continuing their efforts in cultivation with indomitable spirit of optimism year after year despite their sufferings with repeated crop loss. Later, Hariprasad Chaurasia enthralled the audience with his flute recital. Dr PRK Prasad presided over the programme. Foundation managing trustee Dr C Nageswara Rao and Sudha presented the awards.
