NITI Aayog: AP not to be accorded special status

NITI Aayog committee member VK Saraswat said that it is not possible at this juncture for AP to be accorded Special Status category. Giving a clarification on this regard, the NITI Aayog member stated that currently the economic system of the country is not in a favourable position.
He further said that it is not important whether AP is granted special status or not but the focus should be on whether the revenue deficit state is being accorded funds or not.
