A family of three unable to cope with financial troubles attempted suicide in Rampachodavaram in East Godavari district on Thursday. The couple along with their physically challenged son consumed pesticide.
According to the police, Shankar incurred heavy losses in cloth business that has been continuing for the past four years and unable to cope with it, he decided to end his life along with the family. Shankar, his wife Lakshmi Parvathi and son Veera Babu had consumed pesticide but were rushed to Rampachodavaram area hospital by the neighbours.
Doctors informed that Shankar is out of danger but Lakshmi Parvathi and Veera Babu's condition is said to be critical and were shifted to Rajahmundry government hospital.
