Vijayawada: National Scheduled Caste Commission Member P M Kamalamma strongly condemned the attitude of APSRTC Vice-president and Managing Director N Sambasiva Rao for ignoring the genuine demands of SC, ST staff working in RTC.
The National SC commission member participated in the silver jubilee celebrations of the APSRTC SC/ST Employees Welfare Association held at Railway Institute here on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Kamalamma said that RTC Managing Director Sambasiva Rao has shown discrimination against the employees association and skipped the event even though, he was invited. “It is highly deplorable act,” she said.
Later, the association members submitted a memorandum to the SC Commission Member on their demands. In reply, Kamalamma wanted the RTC management to look into the demands in the span of next 15 days or in case an inquiry would be conducted at New Delhi on January 27, 2016.
Mala Mahanadu National President Karem Shivaji, APSRTC SC/ST Employees Welfare Association Honorary president V Bhaskara Rao, general secretary K Ezra Sastry, additional general secretary A Thomas, vice-president J Thomas and others also present on the occasion.
