Nandyala Yerraguntla passenger services to begin in March

Kadapa: South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Rajendra Gupta said that the works on the Nandyala-Yerraguntla line have been completed and they are planning to start the services by March. Rajendra Gupta visited railway station, here on Saturday and inspected the facilities that were in vogue. He expressed satisfaction over the performance of the Sulabh International Organisation in keeping the station clean and tidy.

Speaking to media persons after inaugurating Children’s Park, which is intended for families of railway staff and railway institute, Gupta said that no new proposals were placed for the development of the station and asserted that passengers’ safety, security and comfort is their motto and promised to upgrade the existing facilities in the railway station to cater to the need of the passengers.

Speaking about the Kadapa -Bengaluru railway line, the GM said that they had taken all the steps to complete the track laying works in least possible time. He declared that they will replace the traditional bulbs with LEDs as part of saving electricity.

Gupta said that he interacted with the members of chamber of commerce regarding the facilities to be improved in the station and assured that he will take all necessary steps to fulfill the needs.

Earlier, he visited Nandaluru railway station an inaugurated the computerised ticket booking counter and inspected the facilities in the station.

Replying to the local represenatatives, who gave representation seeking the setting up of the loco shed he said that the decision should be taken up by the Central government. Senior railway officials from Guntakal division accompanied the GM in the tour.
