The Vijayawada Music Academy arranged classical vocal solos and violin solos as part of three day Music Festival, organised in remembrance the Saint Thyagarajaswamy, at Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College here concluded on Saturday.

Vijayawada: The Vijayawada Music Academy arranged classical vocal solos and violin solos as part of three-day Music Festival, organised in remembrance the Saint Thyagarajaswamy, at Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College here concluded on Saturday.

As per the schedule, the programmes started in the morning with the vocal concert of Malladi Sivananda Yasasvi. This was followed by violin solo of VSPG Shivani and violin duet by Chaganti Ramya Kiranmayi and Mandha Sri Ramya, vocal concerts of Malladi Sindhurajeswari, Oruganti Vanaja, Ragampudi Amulya, Malladi Nagalakshmi.

In the evening session, L Sriya and R Vaishnavi presented pleasant vocal duet with the support of VSPG Shivani on violin and Neti Siva Sankar mrudangam.
‘Paduta Teeyaga’ fame N Bhayasri Geethika vocal concert impressed the audience. Similarly, the vocal concerts of Darbha Mruduravali, KV Brahmanandam, another ‘Paduta Teeyaga’ winner Popuri Charumati Pallavi, CVP Sastry were well received by audience.

The violin solo of Vijamuri Kamala Kiran mesmerised the audience. BVS Prasad and M Haribabu supported on mrudangam and ghatam. The gathering of the festival was fascinated by the vocal duet presented by Vishnubhotla sisters Saraswathi and Krishnaveni. The concert was supported by P Nandakumar on violin and BVS Prasad on mrudangam.
