TDP BC Cell seeks due share in GVMC polls

Visakhapatnam: The TDP Urban BC Cell, which met here on Sunday under the leadership of Pothina Venkata Rao, appealed to the party high command for a due share to BCs in the ensuing Municipal Corporation elections and in the government nominated posts. The BC Cell president, Venkata Rao, said that there are 23 lakh BC population in the district and they are supporting the TDP since beginning.

General secretary Saragadam Nooka Raju felt that the number of loans to be given by the BC Corporation need to be increased along with the loan amount from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 5 lakh. The meeting also resolved to appeal to the government for implementing Justice Eswarayya Committee recommendations and also to observe NTR Vardhanthi on January 18.
