Srikakulam players excel in Taekwondo

Tekkali (Srikakulam): P Kumar, who bagged a gold medal in under 46 kg black belt category in the recently concluded inter-state championship, will represent national level competition, which is to be held at Kolkata in February. As many as six students from the district participated in the first open Taekwondo championship-2016 held at Nandyal, Kurnool district.

B Chaitanya stood second in the category and received silver medal while D Neeraj Kumar got bronze. Coach of these students Narsipuram Sekhar was selected as best referee of the tournament and was felicitated with a shield and certificate. The district collector P Lakshminarsimham appreciated the coach and players for their achievement.
