The two-day national workshop on “Research Methodology and Report Writing – Commerce, Management and Social Sciences” being held by the Department of Management study of the Adikavi Nannaya University was inaugurated here on Friday.

Rajahmundry: The two-day national workshop on “Research Methodology and Report Writing – Commerce, Management and Social Sciences” being held by the Department of Management study of the Adikavi Nannaya University was inaugurated here on Friday.

About 120 participants from all over the country are participating in the workshop. A significant number of participants came from neighbouring Telangana and Odisha states. Prof. M Mutyalu Naidu inaugurated the workshop here. Speaking on the occasion, he said research is a long-term and continuous process where in an individual has to remain in sync with the emerging research outcomes.

Registrar Prof. EN Dhananjaya Rao said there is a need for those involved in research should respond to the changes that are taking place in the society at large. “What is relevant today may not be relevant tomorrow, and what is relevant for someone may be irrelevant to someone else,” he added.

University College of Arts and Commerce Prof. KS Ramesh told students that necessary care should be taken while drafting a research report. Sessions on identification of research problems, research planning, literature reviews, submitting research proposals to funding agencies, and publishing research findings were handled by experts.

Department of Management Studies HOD Dr. N Udayabhaskar presided over the inaugural function. Faculty members of the department: Dr. Uma, G Rajendra Prasad, Padmavalli, M Ramesh and Alice joy were also present.
