300, 600 tickets for India-SL 3rd T20 sold out

Visakhapatnam: All the tickets of lower denominations Rs 300 and Rs 600 for the T20 match between India and Sri Lanka scheduled to be held here on Sunday have been sold out.

Within an few hours of the opening, the tickets at 18 Mee Seva centres in the city, 5,900 tickets of Rs 600 denomination, and 2,000 tickets of Rs 300 denomination were sold out.

Joint Collector J Nivas on Thursday said that the tickets of the denominations of Rs 1,000, Rs 1,500, Rs 2,000 and Rs 3,000 will be available in the Mee Seva centers from Friday morning.

Cricket fans made beelines from the morning hours of Thursday in front of the Mee Seva centers, where the tickets were sold after issuing tokens to the first comers. There were no major incidents as the district administration has taken all the precautionary steps for transparency in the sale of tickets.

After a long gap, the city is hosting an international cricket match. The match is gaining importance for the youth as the day is coinciding with Valentines’ Day.
