Polio drops administered to 2.34 lakh children

As part of polio immunisation programme, polio drops were administered to 2,34,576 children under 5 years of age across the district on Sunday.
Srikakulam: As part of polio immunisation programme, polio drops were administered to 2,34,576 children under 5 years of age across the district on Sunday. Labour Minister K Atchannaidu, ZP Chairperson Ch Dhanalaxmi, Government Whip K Ravikumar and MP K Rammohan Naidu administered polio drops to children at various colonies in Srikakulam.
According to district immunisation officer (DIO) Dr Bagadi Jagannadham, polio drops were administered through 113 centres in urban, 1,190 centres in rural and 314 in tribal areas. In all, 7,712 medical staff participated and 160 officers supervised the immunisation activity, the DIO added.
