KCP COO bags award for promoting sugar industry
The Chief Operating Officer of KCP Sugars, G Venkateswara Rao, received UB Raghavendra Rao Memorial Award for his contribution to the sugar industry. He was presented the award at the ‘Kisan Mela’ organised at the Regional Agricultural Research Station, Anakapalli on Friday.

This prestigious award is given annually for the persons who work for the growth of sugar industry. Former Vice-Chancellor of NG Ranga Agricultural University Puri presented the award to Venkatewara Rao for the year 2015. Being considered as a prestigious award in the sugar industry, Dr VL Dattu, Rajeswari Ramakrishnan, Dr Mullapudi Harischandra Prasad and Mullapudi Naredra received the award so far.
KCP Sugar Producers Association president SV Krishna Rao, Secretary Ch Bhagya Niranjan Rao and executive members, officers of the factory, labour association president A Balasubrahmanyam and members commended the Venkateswara Rao for the achievement.
