Chittoor: The TDP district president and MLC G Srinivasulu stressed on the need for youth to play an active role in politics. He said future of any political party lies in the hands of youth.

Presiding over the district Telugu Yuvata general body meeting here on Tuesday, the party district chief stated that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has decided to encourage youth in the TDP. He advised older generation to be a guiding force for youth in taking up leadership role in party politics. He patted several youngsters in the Telugu Yuvata for making efforts in strengthening the party from grassroots-level.

Srinivasulu noted that leaders, who are below 50 years, constitute 70 per cent in the party and remaining are youth. The TDP requires youth for achieving the desired goals, he said adding that the Chief Minister and national general secretary Nara Lokesh were doing hectic exercise to identify the energetic youth in the party to face the future challenges.

The MLC said every party activist should be proud of working under the leadership of the Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh. He advised to the Telugu Yuvata district president M Mohan to constitute mandal-level wings so that youth can play a crucial role in the party.

Speaking on the occasion, TDP State secretary B N Rajasimhulu said that the Telugu Yuvata should play a vital role in conducting the membership drive in villages and towns of every Assembly constituency.

He made an appeal to the TDP youth wing to create awareness about the social welfare schemes being implemented by the TDP government.

He gave a call to youth to inculcate discipline and loyalty towards the party. He stated that Nara Lokesh is well versed with the issues related to the youth in Telugu Yuavata. TDP district secretary P Nani said that the party corporators should extend cooperation for resolving the key issues of various divisions under the Chittoor Municipal Corporation limits. TDP district spokesperson V Surendra Kumar and other party leaders were present.
