  • House adjourned till Monday
  • Roja sits on a protest on the road, later faints and was admitted in NIMS

The security personnel and woman marshals refused to allow Roja to enter the premises and miffed with the turn of events, the YSRCP legislators planned to stage a dharna in front of the statue of Mahatma Gandhi but the move was foiled by the marshals.

An infuriated Roja sat on protest on the road, while the YSRCP members went into the house and created ruckus forcing two brief adjournments before the Speaker adjourned the House till Monday. The YSRCP members not only stormed into the podium but also gheraoed the Speaker’s chair, raised slogans, obstructed the proceedings and refused to go back to their seats, despite repeated appeals by the Speaker.

The Speaker tried to go ahead with the Question Hour and when the BJP floor leader P Vishnukumar Raju got up to ask a question, the YSRCP legislators obstructed him. When all attempts failed to bring the House into order, the Speaker adjourned it for 10 minutes. The slogan shouting and protests continued even after the House re-assembled forcing adjournment for the second time.

As there was no change in the situation after the House re-assembled and as the YSRCP members remained adamant and continued their slogans, the Speaker adjourned the House till Monday. Meanwhile, Roja who sat on protest on the footpath outside the entrance gate fainted. She was rushed to a hospital in an ambulance.
