Vijayawada: CPI National Secretary K Narayana on Friday predicted that Left parties will have definite majority in the general elections to be held at Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Assam, West Bengal and Puducherry soon.

Addressing a press conference here on Friday, Narayana said that Left parties in association with MDMK and VCK entered into an alliance with the four party People’s Welfare Front (PWF) in Tamil Nadu for the general elections. Voters of Tamil Nadu fed up with corrupted politics by the leaders of AIADMK and DMK and were waiting to support the PWF in the general elections.

An alternative friendly alliance was also constituted in West Bengal opposing the unilateral rule of Chief Minister Mamata Benarjee, he said. Meanwhile, in Kerala Congress party was on ventilator, Left Democratic Front (LDF) will form the government and in Assam and Delhi BJP was facing severe criticism among the people with their fascist policies, he said. In this situation, the NDA government was encouraging communal forces across the universities with Nagpur as its headquarters to prove its existence, he alleged.

The CPI National secretary also questioned the National Democratric Alliance government why was it is restricting the activities of Kanhaiya Kumar, though the JNUSU leader has not even spoken against the nation or praising the terrorist Afzal Guru. He wanted all the BJP leaders to view the speeches of Kanhaiya Kumar on social media sites and comment on him.

At least now, the NDA government should limit its ideology of encouraging communal forces in the universities and withdraw the appointment of Appa Rao as Vice Chancellor for UoH. “We are also ready to counter attack them, if the NDA government continues it attitude of suppressing the Left parties and its affiliated student unions,” he warned.

Speaking on the occasion, CPI State secretary K Ramakrishna demanded that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu should give clarity on benefiting the Singapore companies which designed plans for the construction of Amaravati.

He questioned the Chief Minister why he was keen on spending crores of public money in the name of capital construction design, besides claiming that the government was not financially sound to provide salaries for the Anganwadi’s and municipal workers.

The Ministers and MLAs of the ruling party are not leaving any stone unturned to rake in moolah in sand mafia. The Chief Minister, who recently formulated new guidelines in the implementation of sand policy should reveal it to the public to evolve transparency of their government, he demanded.

CPI State leader and former MLC Jelli Wilson also present at the news conference.
