Visakhapatnam: Coming down heavily on the management of Divis Laboratories Ltd for neglecting the injured workers in a fire accident at Divis, leaders and activists of CPM on Friday said that the condition of the three victims has become critical.
Speaking to reporters, CPM city secretary Dr B Lokanadham said three contract workers suffered burn injuries in a fire that broke out in a reactor in the H-Block of Divis Labs at Bheemili area on Wednesday. The management of the company had claimed that the trio suffered simple injuries (10 per cent burn injuries) and they were admitted to a Orthopedic Hospital and on Thursday they were shifted to ABC Hospital following the protest of the CPM.

The management of Divis was responsible for victims becoming critical, he said and added that the management of the hospital shifted the victims to CARE Hospital, which does not have proper infrastructure to treat the burn victims. The CPM leader demanded that the patients be shifted to Seven Hills Hospital immediately.
