The compound of Siddhartha Auditorium came to life when people thronged on the Sunday morning to take part in the Treasure hunt. Youth actively participated in the programme organised by Inner Wheel Club of Vijayawada Midtown in association with Rotary Club here on Sunday. As much as Rs 1.5 lakh was given away to the club’s initiative ‘Ashakiran’, that aims to fund education to the girl child.

All India president of Inner Wheel Club Mamata Agarwal inaugurated the event and within an hour, the bumper prize winner had shown up solving all the clues tracking the treasure. The amount in the form of cheque was handed over by Mamata on the occasion. The bumper prize of a two wheeler vehicle was won by P Raja Raghav Krishna who works with a private firm in the city.

Y Prema and M Chandu, engineering students have won first place individually in the competition and won Rs 15,000 worth gold jewelry. A Kusuma and P Bhanu Poojith won bicycles. The event also saw many candidates participating in the lucky dip, Housie game among others. Inner Wheel’s India Literacy chairman Sarita Lalani, Midtown president G Malleswari ,secretary G Latha and others were present during the prgroamme.
